I have graduated!!Results were okay. International Economics wasn't up to my expectation but it was Funds Management that surprised me.Now I owe two people a meal and a movie for losing the bet. When will I ever win a bet.I have been losing bets ever since the World Cup..meaning since standard 6..grrr...bottomline..I suck at betting.

Now I really don't now what to do.My main plan keeps changing so I just decided to combine these two together.I have decided to send out resumes and if I can't get any attractive or satisfactory job offers, I will continue studying...or..I do my internship first, and see whether I like the banking industry. If I do, I will continue that for Masters.Settled then..Goody!

Everyone is coming back! This is really great! We must all have a grad party!so cool!see you guys when you get back here

Lastly, a Merry Christmas to all the readers and have a great one!

Ho-ho-ho!Christmas is coming! One of my favorite holidays of the year.Since nobody is getting me a Christmas present this year, I got myself one. But, additional Christmas presents from others are still welcomed.I bought a new guitar.By saying I got myself a new guitar, it means I paid for it myself. Now,before you guys says what a waste of money it is,I need it for my classical guitar exam. Also,I think it's time to upgrade from a beginner's guitar to a concert guitar. It is a second hand guitar and cost me RM 3,000. It's an okay price for a Manuel Rodriguez guitar model D. I have been trying it out and have been loving the tone from this guitar. So,guess I am currently broke now.At least it's a motivation for me to stop shopping for I have to save now.Below, it's a picture of my new prized possession.

Results are coming out this week.I have no idea why but for this semester,I don't actually feel worried about it.Okay, maybe I am still worried about it but it is at a minimal level compared to previous semesters.Maybe it's because I can't really care less whether I graduate or not.For one reason, I am really feeling the pressure of finding a job or doing masters.Yes,I have decided 80% that I am going to do Masters until my brother had to come and tell me the cons of masters..like..it's really hard,a lot of assignments, still have to face the study and exam pressure...and telling me the advantages of working. So, I am not really sure now.I am having a conflict of feelings of graduating. If I do an extra semester, I got at least half a year more to decide and will not have to face all these problems. This method is called running away from problems and it is not encouraged in life unless you really meet a dead end like me.Well, it is a better way compared to suicide anyway. The cons of not graduating..hmmm...I would have to go back to HELP again, not being able to graduate with my other friends. Also, my plans with Chai Len would be a no go.See, what we planned to do was, since the convocation was going to be in Shangri-La, we decided to stay one night in Shangri-La before the convocation, party our asses off in K.L, and attend the convocation the next day.HAHAHA..sounds kinda great..but..we will see whether this plan will be actually put into place.

So yeah, don't really know what to do now.Three quarters of me want to graduate while the rest don't really want to.Gr..life.And this is just the beginning to many other decisions I have to make in the future. But, really, I think the hardest decision of my life would be a marriage proposal. To say yes,or not to.Time shall tell...

Okay..it has been a while and I figured I should upload my Shanghai pictures by now. Below, is a picture of where I lived. I didn't stay at a hotel but instead I stayed in a friend's house.I was staying in a Korean area as there were many Korean folks and restaurants around.

As you all know, Shanghai is famous for it's Xiao Long Bao.And coincidentally, when I went there, it was the crab season. So, the fillings inside the Xiao Long Bao were all related to crabs such as crab's egg, meat. And it was the best.I went to this famous old shop where I waited for half an hour for a seat. It's near the Shanghai Bund.Below is the pig blood's soup and crab xiao long bao.

Then went out for a walk at the Shanghai Bund.A bit cold but it was alright.Love the view there.Went to the old and new side to get opposite view of each other.

Bottom line is Shanghai has a lot of delicacies. Here are some of them

Vege on ice..haha..China salad

My favorite dessert!

Starters-the Shanghai style

Taste great but a killer for women who keeps their eye on their figure

Pan fried Xiao Long Bao..there is sesame underneath it!My 2nd fav!

Noodles..Looks spicy but really isn't..maybe it's coz of the cold weather

The following pics are all about crab..It's a crab feast!

Carb Meat and Cab Egg cooked together.Warning:not for those with high cholesterol

More crab meat!

Nice...

Beancurd with crab egg

Waiting to be eaten

The best part about eating crab here is that you don't have to take out the shell yourself. They are all done by the pros and laid out nicely.

The crab's head

Lol!

The part with the black sesame contains meat I think and the white sesame part contains some dessert which I forgot..good combination anyways.

Shanghai "Zhar Xiew Bao"

Claypot Rice!!

So,I ate quite a lot in Shanghai.But..I didn't put on weight!!Kudos to me!!haha..Until next time..

Gonna use the K.I.S.S way to blog this time.It means keep it simple stupid.

Just got back from Shanghai 2 days ago. No pics up yet due to my laziness to edit and upload. Will do so when I have the mood. Filling my holidays with much activities that I can. Gonna take chinese classes from my mom..learning to read and write..hopefully it's not too hard. Also enrolling in ballroom dance classes.Should be going tomorrow to try it out.Didn't put on any weight in Shanghai(thank God!). Got a few nice winter clothes from Shanghai even thought Malaysia has no winter but who knows, it might come handy in the future. Also, going for internship and in the mean time, decide whether I want to work or continue my Masters. But firstly, get my results..

Simple and short enough?

After my long hiatus from blogging..I am happy to say that I am making a comeback..My next hiatus will start from next week until the week after..The next time you read my blog, I will be blogging from Shanghai..yes..I am traveling again..I think that many people out there perceive that I do not like traveling mainly because I am a nervous flier.I admit..I was before..but now, the new Nancy begs to differ.I love to travel.Just seeing and experiencing other people's culture helps me enjoy traveling so much.Okay, that was just a cover up..I actually love the food and my shopping activities when I travel. You heard me right.S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G. From my traveling experience, it is sad to say that Malaysia is a warehouse for other countries when it comes to shopping and I don't mean that Malaysia is a big place for shopping for fashionable clothes. What I am trying to say here is that when a certain new style of fashion emerges in other countries such as Hong Kong and Taiwan, it takes at least 2 to 3 months for this fad to reach here. And what clothes do we get?All the fashion that has been outdated in other countries. My sources in Hong Kong tells me that they will ship all their unsold goods to Malaysia to be sold. What a load of crap! Why can't we get up-to-date clothes.DAMMIT!This is one of the reasons that I have to do my clothes shopping in other countries.

Another thing that really infuriates me nowadays is that Malaysia doesn't have 4 seasons.Yes,I was really thankful last time that Malaysia had only one season-summer all life long. This means that I don't have to freeze during winter and I don't have to waste extra money to install a heater and everything else. But, when I start thinking about it again, I am missing out loads of cool clothes.I can't wear boots here coz it will be too hot and my feet will be sweating in my boots. That is one hell of an uncomfortable feeling. Also, I am a sucker for overcoats.I go into Zara and I see how many reasonably priced overcoats I love in there. But I can't buy it coz if I start wearing it in Malaysia,I will look like a first class idiot.Who wears an overcoat during summer?Only someone who think that Malaysia isn't hot enough at 34 degrees. Now I really hope that the company I work with will transfer me to other countries.First choice, London.Second choice, U.S.A.Third choice, anywhere in Asia with 4 seasons.

Enough of the complaints, back to some good news.Today will be the last day I am going to HELP for lecture. The last day I am stepping into a HELP lecture room (I hope!). Later it's all exams and graduation. This will probably be my last exam too,if I don't attempt Masters that is.I am on cloud 9.NO MORE EXAMS!!No more feeling of that exam stress.Anyways,I will await all my friends return so that we can party!!!For now, good luck in all your exams and God bless!

September is finally here!!I can't wait for the premiere of both Heroes and CSI:Las Vegas. Both ended in a cliffhanger last season and the premiere will finally reveal the truth.Heroes is premiering on Sept 24th whereas CSI is premiering on Sept 27th.Happy!!Now I got stuff to watch!

But of course, every happiness is bound to incorporate a bit of stress.Spet is my my midterm month whereas October is my assignment month. All the handing up dates are quite close so I will be having an assignment marathon since I have not started on any of it yet.I am preparing for my economics midterm which takes place next wednesday.Feel kinda scared for it since Econs midterms have always been a killer. It's not that I don't know how to do, it's just the lack of time to finish it which makes me even more guilty when I get my bad marks. So, this time I will have to zoom through my exam paper after learning from my past experience in Macroeconomics.

Graduation is about two months from now.I have mixed feelings about this.Yeah, I am happy to graduate coz I don't have to go to boring and lame classes and deal with assignments and exams. But,working doesn't make life any easier.I will have to go to work 5 days a week instead of 3/4 days to college.Longer hours too.I am also finding a hard time looking for the job I want coz I don't want to work in a bank or a finance company.I want to work in media production. But, obviously I can't fight with those who have an actual degree in mass comm instead of me.I think that even though I do manage to get a job in a media production company, they will probably put me in a finance dept 1st and tell me that I will be transferred to the production dept after a few months or years time. How unsatisfying.Enough of this crap.Graduate first and plan later.

Chai Len, Khai Lun and I finally had our "Projek Jalan Jalan Cari Makan" last Friday. Our target was Kuala Lumpur and Kepong and it was fun..hehe..I got to know a lot of new roads and found new places to eat. Now,without further ado,let me introduce you to a few nice places.

Date: 24/8/2007
Time: 14:43
Place: Jln Alor, Kuala Lumpur

Behold this "Ipoh Sa Hor Fun" in Jln Alor.I believe that this store has a history of over thirty years since my family has been eating for quite a long time there. The Ho Fun is like every other Hor Fun but what brings this dish alive is the soup...emmm...I just love the soup here. It's very different from other places.Oh yeah..the prawns are very fresh here.

Now, many of you know that I don't take curry. But, with the exception to this.It 's not very spicy(which means it is spiceless or not I won't be able to take it) and the best part is the curry soup.I think that the "lemak" that they use here is just nice. Not too much and not too little.So..just nice!

Their wanton is one of their speciality here too.I think they put some special ingredient into their wanton coz it has a very special taste too it which is simply undescribable...yummmy..

Another speciality of theirs..their dumplings..I also think they put some special ingredient here which makes the taste very unique.

Total Price:10.80

Time: 15:40
Place: Jln Sayor, Off Jln Pudu

This drink here is the famous Honey Sugarcane of Jln Sayor. When preparing this drink, I thought there were a lot of flies buzzing around this aunty who seems unperturbed by it. However, upon further and closer inspection, it ain't no flies!it is bees!!and they don't sting..they just fly around you even though you are in their territory as how bees see it.Well, aunty uses 4 mixtures of flavoring into her sugar cane which makes it so refreshing.

Price: RM 1.00

Another highlight of this road is their dessert shop.Their steamed egg here is super nice and apparently is good for the skin. The texture of the egg is nice and when it is first eaten, the egg yolk taste is first felt and later the taste of the milk..very niceee!!!

I don't really know how to say this in English. This is some sort of tea leaves with egg but it is not your typical "Tea Leaves Egg" that you find in 1 Utama or other places. The soup has a different taste..it taste like a herbal soup and when the egg is eaten with it, both tastes mathes each other prefectly.

I forgot what this is called but it is also nice..It has a sweet taste to it and it is served hot. But,even it is served hot, I find it refereshing..dunno why..

Price per bowl: RM 1.50

Time: 17:20
Place: Koon Kee, Petaling Street

I don't really feel anything special with this noodle. On a personal note, I think Ho Weng Kee is better..so ...no comment.

Time: 19:41
Place: Foodland, Kepong

I think this is called "Unique Taste Ha Ko"..Quite nice..

Just ordered this to complete a healthy diet..hehe..

The main attraction...creamy butter crab..dip the bread into the creamy butter and it is absoulutely delicious..furthermore, the shell of the crab has already been cracked, so don't need to look and eat so messy trying to break the crab shell..yumyyyyy...

Total Price: RM 76

This concludes our project..until the next project..

First and foremost, a way happy belated birthday to Ching May..haha..sorry...I so totally forgot until I saw Kit Mun's blog..hehe..congratz..you are finally 21 years old!no one will check ur I.C to see whether you are old enough to consume alchohol..it's a good thing!

Something on Thursday happened in HELP that totally pissed me off..somebody stole my FIN 370 textbooks and lecture notes..what kind of sick person will do that?i went for lunch break like everyone else and came back finding out that my books were missing. And I sat at the second last row.If u wanna steal, will you go all the way to the second last row?Furthermore, there was an original book next to mine..and the thief steals my photostated book instead...what??some more got so many photostat books on the table, that person don't want to steal..only steal mine..so I came up with a conclusion that either that thief has really no brains or the person has already targeted me..that means...I have a stalker!!!!The person could really either hate me or like me..I don't know..but better be careful now..but if the stalker is a male, handsome and rich, and stealing my books to get my attention..I don't mind..hehe..you got my attention...*wink*

On a happier note..Wei Mei,Chai Len and Khai Lun called me out for a karaoke session
.I didn't know it was my birthday celebration until I saw Khai Lun carrying a cake..haha..sorry to spoil your surprise..yeah..so it was quite fun on that day..thanks guys for making ym 21st a memorable one!

Oh yeah, lately there has been a lot of people that I don't know requesting me to add them on facebook and friendster...whatever started off this trend suddenly?there are people from england, australia and japan too!what?I became so attractive suddenly?or these people are just simply adding people to increase their number of friends..so I rejected all their invitations and if you really want me to approve your request..you have to give me a good reason..reason like "I like your picture and want to be your friend" is not acceptable..try thinking something more creative..haha..like have to take exam to be on my friendster and facebook..sorry..but I really have to be extra careful now..

A new semester(and hopefully the last) of uni had started this week and it was okay.I am taking International Economics,Treasury Risk and Funds Management as a closing show of my life in university. I didn't plan to take International Economics at first but my other first choice electives, Labour Econs and Buyers Behaviour clashed with Funds Management.Arghh..so had to take International Econs. The lecturer said it was boring and a bit hard but 90% above passses. So that kinda lifted up my confidence a bit.So,2 midterms,1 project and 3 assignments in this sem..I am so "thrilled"...

Anyways, not a lot of you know that I recently had two wisdom tooths extracted. Friends at overseas definitely will not know as they can't see me whereas friends at Malaysia wouldn't know too as I hid it really well..but if you look closely last few days,my left cheek was actually swollen.I had it extracted on Monday and even on Friday, today,I can't even chew with my left side.I was on soft diet for 3 days and was popping painkillers for the last 4 days. Now,most of you think that it shouldn't bet that pain.Well, I had a minor surgery.Apparently, the wisdom tooth on my bottom left side was growing in the gum and horizontally, which means it was barricading itself into my other teeth roots. Therefore, the dentist had to cut open my gum and split my tooth into 3 separate parts and take out the parts one by one.The one on top was easier was better as it was growing out vertically but had to be taken out as it was too big for my small mouth.I threw away the two tooths already but I don't think anyone of you would have appreciated pictures on it.I have to go back next month to extract another tooth on my bottom right which is growing horizontally too..which means another surgery.sighh..that's life...

A picture for Kit Mun and Yee li,claiming that I was too busy goggling over the restaurant that I didn't take any pics of the food...

This one is with mushrooms..It costs NT 200 and did I mention that the dessert was great too?Let's just say Jay Chou really scored this time..

Just got back from Taiwan..very tired now..so I will post up the pics of Jay Chou's restaurant that I went to..and no..I did not meet Jay Chou

Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Before leaving for Taiwan, I weighed myself to keep track of my weight. I knew I had gained weight a week ago.So, last weekend I had went cycling at the Dan Sui riverside for 2 hours hoping to lose the weight that I had put on.After cycling, I stepped on the weighing machine once more, awaiting for my success of losing weight...only to find out that....

Before Taiwan= 50 kg

After = 52.9 kg

What the heck?!!!I didn't lose any weight at all..I had gained 3 kg in Taiwan just after 2 weeks! And I still have another week to go here..If this keeps going on, I will probably be 55 kg when I return to Malaysia..AND the next day after I return, Chai Len, Khai Lun and me will be going for our "Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan" project around K.L...Yikesss...I have to lose all this weight or not I can't fit into all my outfits that I bought in Taiwan..Wahhhhhh...excercise anyone?

Going away from this sad topic, everyone knows that I have come to Taiwan for internship and ask whether I have been busy at the office.Let me tell you..I am super free here..Have you heard of any intern that comes to work after 12 just for lunch and spends the rest of her day up to 5.30 by surfing online and watching Youtube?Well, that's me!Now you know why I get fat.And during tea time,I always indulge myself into Taiwan Bubble Tea..extra fat..hahahaha..but I really am enjoying myself here..so much freedom,tv programs and good food..but all this will end next friday..sad..returning to Malaysia next friday coz a new sem is starting next next monday...sobbb....but I think I have enjoyed enough..haha..awaiting for exam results..hopefully it will be good news..going off to Tien-Mu now for extra shopping..

*poof*

Wednesday, July 04, 2007

So...landed in Taiwan yesterday..freaking hot here..I know thaat I shouldn't complain bout heat coz I was raised in Malaysian and am immune to heat..But, the humidity here is just crazy..like, i hardly sweat in Malaysia but once I just stepped out of the airport, sweat started to appear on my skin...crazy..and I made a bad mistake by sleeping with a fan on last night. Not gonna make the same mistake as I did for last night..I am gonna on the air-cond tonight..

Blogging in the office now..apparently everyone here has a nap time until 1.30.Lunch starts at 12.So cool man..office hours got nap time also..I want this kind of job..and the Internet here is super fast..I was amazed at how fast my Youtube was going compared to that lousy Streamyx in Malaysia..I have already requested for 2 MB in Malaysia coz my bro is coming back soon and with his presence, he will probably take up all the connection due to all his downloads.Hopefully I will get more faster connection..

Until something new and exciting comes up..

So...exams are done and over with..quite a disappointing exam..I don't understand why people just can't set exam papers for 4 hours..izzit that hard?it's just an hour later and I won't be panicking and mess myself up during the final 60 minutes..arghhh..

I am leaving for Taiwan next Tuesday..Until then, my schedule is packed..have to run around to get stuff, clean my room, pack....but I can't wait to get out of Malaysia. This will be the first time I will be running around in a foreign country without my parents..so my chance to prove my independence..Oh yeah..I must excecise in Taiwan..I don't care what sports I play..baseball,basketball or jogging..I must not increase weight there...and when I come back..I am gonna have my wisdom tooth extracted out so that I can have an extra day of soft diet..muahaha...what a great way to plan my diet schedule..No Pain, No Gain.

Oh yeah, Khai Lun, if you need my help for that business competition thingy..just email me..if I am free I will help out..but answers are not guaranteed..I am quite brain dead during the holidays..Have to empty all the old stuff to store the new stuff..so..yeah..just email me..u can call me if u want..haha..but bear your own phone bill...

I am currently watching "Supernatural" now..it's kinda good.In Septemeber, it would be even better..the new seasons of "Heroes" and "CSI"...CSI ended in the cliffhanger for a CSI..arrgghh..CSI has never done a cliffhanger finale before..Even the finale where Nick was buried underground was solved in a 2-hour special..crap...now I have to wait till September..and also the TVB super casted "Drive of Life" is coming out...whoppee!after a long wait..and Astro is showing it..they are having a brand new channel to show it"Astro on Demand"..but have to pay..so see 1st whether I will subscribe to that channel.

My next update will be when I am in Taiwan...So until then

Exam is so killing me right now..I see other people have either finish their exams or even started their first paper..I haven't started my exams at all..My first exam will be this friday and the wait is killing me!I can't wait to get exams over with so that I can finally enjoy my one month holiday..something that I have been deprived of over the past 2 sems where i only get measly holidays of two days or two weeks of holiday..so..yay!my holiday begans next thursday!so hyped about it!

So..what are my plans for the holiday? My holiday to Hong Kong has been cancelled coz I have to wait for brother to come back and then it will be a family holiday. However, it has been replaced by an internship in Taiwan..I will be an intern in Taiwan under my uncle for a month..so I won't be in Malaysia from 3rd July until the 27th..this plan has been confirmed until further notice..but most likely it will be on.Even the airplane ticket has been booked..and yes..I am going there alone..no parents(whopee!)...I can't wait to go Taiwan at this time..they are having their summer holidays which means I can shop for clothes at a cheap price(sale everywhere..maybe) and also there will be a lot of singers releasing their album at this time..autograph sessions at Xi Men Ding!!!heehee..walalala...on a downside however, my plan to excercise during the holidays have gone down the drain..I will probably eat more in Taiwan and not excercise...fattt*sob*

First thing before I enjoy.have to get pass this torturing exams...off to study..

LOL...My mom showed me something that totally shocked me and made me happy..On the cover of Stuff Magazine(the one that introduces all the latest gadgets) this month June, the model on the front cover looks a lot like me..I think I would say 85% resemblance..haha..that is so cool..even my dad was like "wow..that really looks like you with makeup on"..I don't have the picture but if you really do wanna find out, check a local magazine shop near you..to my friends who are abroad..too bad..I got one copy at home(not because the model looked like me, but because I am a regular reader)..so when you all come back, you can ask me for it..haha...

Exams are inching nearer and nearer...study progress have been good, everything seems to be on time. I don't know why but I feel way more pressured than I ever felt more my previous exams..maybe coz this is my second last semester and I just simply cannot afford failing. If this happens, I will have to delay my graduation time and that kinda sucks.So..hopefully, I will pass everything this sem and next sem and be ready to graduate this year with the ceremony next year. So,let's hope for the best for everybody and may we all get past this sem with flying colours

*poof*
*Due to requests, I have put up the pic..see for yourselves!
